AESTHETICS, SKIN HEALTH &
REGENERATIVE MEDICINE CONSULTATIONS
-
Absolutely. In fact, we often prefer it.
Rather than choosing a treatment based on a name, trend or what someone else has had, your consultation allows us to first understand the concern you’re trying to address.
We’ll look at the bigger picture and talk you through what may or may not be appropriate.
You don’t need to arrive with the answer. That’s what the consultation is for.
-
Your consultation is dedicated time to understand you, your concerns and what you hope to achieve.
Your practitioner will take the time to listen, review your relevant medical and treatment history, and complete a considered assessment before talking you through the treatment options best suited to you.
Together, we’ll discuss your recommendations, what to expect, and any questions you may have, so you can feel informed, comfortable and confident in your treatment plan.
Every recommendation is personalised to you, with your safety, goals and long-term care always at the centre.
-
Your safety is at the centre of every treatment we provide.
As with any medical, aesthetic or skin treatment, there are potential risks and side effects, which vary depending on the treatment and the individual. Before proceeding, your practitioner will assess your suitability and talk you through the relevant risks, expected recovery and any important considerations, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and make a fully informed decision about your care.
We believe feeling informed is an important part of feeling safe. For more detailed information, you can visit our ‘The Finer Details’ page.
-
Treatments involving prescription medicines are only provided following an individual consultation and assessment with an authorised prescriber, in accordance with current regulatory and prescribing requirements.
Where appropriate, your practitioner will guide you through this process as part of your consultation, ensuring any treatment considered is clinically appropriate, safely prescribed and personalised to you.
-
To help us care for you safely and appropriately, it’s important that we have a complete and up-to-date understanding of your health and treatment history.
Before treatment, please let your practitioner know about any medical conditions, current medications or supplements, allergies or sensitivities, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any previous cosmetic, medical or skin treatments.
Even if something doesn’t seem relevant, we encourage you to mention it. This information allows us to carefully assess your suitability, identify any potential risks and ensure your treatment plan is appropriate
-
Pregnancy and breastfeeding are times when we take additional care when considering treatment.
Certain aesthetic and skin treatments may not be appropriate during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, while others may need to be modified.
Please let us know if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy so your practitioner can carefully assess what is appropriate for you and guide you towards suitable options.
Your safety, and the safety of your baby, will always come first.
-
Your care doesn’t end when you leave the Haus. If you experience an unexpected side effect or have any concerns following your treatment, please contact the clinic promptly so your practitioner can assess your symptoms and guide you on the appropriate next steps.
At the time of your treatment, you’ll be provided with clear aftercare instructions, including what you may normally expect, what to look out for and when to get in touch.
If something doesn’t feel right, we would always prefer to hear from you.
Your safety, follow-up and continuity of care are an important part of every treatment.
-
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all consultations and treatment appointments at Lau-vei Haus.
Where an eligible treatment or product is recommended and you choose to proceed, your consultation deposit may be applied towards this. If you choose not to proceed, or treatment or a product purchase isn’t recommended, the deposit will be retained as a Consultation Fee, reflecting the dedicated time, clinical expertise, assessment and personalised guidance provided during your appointment.
We kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may result in your deposit being forfeited and an additional deposit being required to secure a future booking.
These policies allow us to protect the time thoughtfully set aside for each patient while continuing to provide unhurried, considered care.
-
We understand that seeing examples of treatment outcomes can be helpful when considering your options. However, in line with AHPRA advertising guidelines, there are limitations around how before and after imagery can be used and presented.
During your consultation, your practitioner will instead focus on your individual anatomy, concerns and goals, and talk you through what may realistically be achievable for you.
Because your treatment plan and your outcome should be considered in the context of you.
-
Yes. Convenient parking is available behind the Haus for our patients.
Lau-vei Haus is located at 16/145 Racecourse Road, Ascot, QLD, 4007. Access to the rear parking area is via the driveway next to Coronis.
We recommend allowing a few extra minutes on your first visit to find the entrance and settle in before your appointment.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Haus.
-
Tell us. Understanding how you want to look and equally, how you don’t want to look, is an important part of your consultation.
At Lau-vei Haus, aesthetic treatment planning considers your individual facial anatomy, proportions, movement and preferences, with an emphasis on balance, preservation and maintaining individuality rather than following a standard treatment approach.
There is no obligation to proceed with anything discussed during your consultation.
-
You don’t need to decide before your appointment.
Changes in skin quality, collagen, facial movement, structure and volume can occur together, which is why we prefer to assess the face and skin as a whole.
Following consultation, we can discuss whether your concerns may be better approached through skin treatments, aesthetic medicine, regenerative treatments, skincare, or a combination over time.
-
There is no single “best” treatment based on age.
Two people in their late 30s and 40s can have very different skin quality, facial anatomy, hormonal influences, medical histories, lifestyles and priorities.
Age provides context, but it doesn’t determine your treatment plan. At Lau-vei Haus, recommendations are made following an individual assessment rather than according to an age-based treatment formula.
-
No. Ongoing aesthetic or skin treatment is always your choice.
Some treatments have temporary effects, while others may be recommended as a course followed by periodic maintenance. Your practitioner will explain the anticipated treatment frequency, expected longevity and ongoing considerations before you decide whether treatment is right for you.
You can also choose to pause or stop treatment at any time.
-
Following SkinPen® skin needling, redness is common during the first 24–48 hours. Your skin may then feel tighter, drier, more sensitive or slightly rough for several days as it recovers.
The amount of downtime varies between individuals and according to the protocol performed. Your practitioner will provide specific aftercare instructions following treatment.
-
Our skin doesn’t age in isolation. Hormonal changes throughout life. Particularly during perimenopause and menopause, can influence hydration, collagen, elasticity, skin thickness, oil production and the way skin feels and responds.
You may notice your skin becoming drier, more sensitive, less firm or simply different from the skin you have always known. At the same time, natural ageing, sun exposure, lifestyle, facial movement and changes in underlying facial structure continue to play a role.
That’s why we don’t believe there is one treatment for “menopausal skin” or a particular age.
At Lau-vei Haus, we take the time to understand what has changed for you and consider the whole picture. Your care may involve adjustments to skincare, treatments supporting skin quality and collagen, regenerative approaches or aesthetic medicine where clinically appropriate.
-
We’ll tell you.
An aesthetic consultation at Lau-vei Haus is an assessment and conversation - not an agreement to proceed with treatment.
Knowing when not to treat is an important part of considered clinical care.
-
Our approach isn’t based on creating a separate menu for men and women.
Care is guided by your individual anatomy, skin health, facial movement, concerns, medical history and preferences.
Depending on your assessment, this may include skin treatments, management of facial movement and expression lines, structural or facial balance considerations, regenerative therapies, treatment for acne scarring and texture, or support for scalp and hair concerns.
Your recommendations will always be individual to you.
-
Book a consultation rather than trying to choose a treatment yourself.
Looking tired can be influenced by several factors, including skin quality, changes around the eyes, facial volume and structural support, pigmentation, facial movement, lifestyle and the natural ageing process.
Rather than assuming one area or treatment is responsible, we’ll assess the face as a whole and help you understand what may be contributing to what you’re seeing.
Sometimes the most appropriate recommendation is simpler than you expect.
-
Yes. Looking after ageing skin doesn’t necessarily mean changing your facial features.
For some people, the priority is simply healthier, more resilient skin - improving concerns such as texture, hydration, uneven tone, sun damage or changes in firmness over time.
We can develop a skin plan around your individual concerns using appropriate in-clinic treatments, regenerative approaches and home care.
The aim is not to make you look like somebody else. It’s to care for the skin you’re in.
-
Acne scarring and changes in skin texture can present differently from person to person, which is why the first step is understanding your skin, the type of scarring present and what you would like to improve.
Following assessment, your treatment plan may include medical skin needling, resurfacing treatments, regenerative approaches and medical-grade skincare to support your skin between appointments.
Improvement is often progressive and, depending on the concern, may involve a course of treatment rather than a single appointment.
We’ll talk you through what may be realistically achievable, expected downtime and the options considered appropriate for your skin before you decide whether you would like to proceed.
-
Your privacy is important to us.
Lau-vei Haus is designed as a calm, appointment-led environment where consultations and treatments take place privately.
Your personal and medical information, treatment discussions and clinical records are handled confidentially in accordance with our privacy and professional obligations.
-
No.
Skin changes throughout life, and there is value in supporting its health at any stage.
Rather than trying to “reverse” the natural ageing process, we focus on understanding what has changed and what may support your skin from where it is today.
That might mean improving hydration, texture and skin quality, addressing accumulated sun damage, supporting collagen or simply establishing an effective home routine.
There is no right age to start, just a considered place to begin.
-
These are common concerns and can often be approached through improving overall skin health rather than focusing on a single feature.
During your consultation, we can assess concerns such as uneven texture, visible pores, pigmentation, sun-related changes, congestion and general skin quality.
From there, we can recommend an appropriate combination of professional skin treatments and home care.
-

WOMENS HORMONAL HEALTH & WEIGHT MANAGEMENT CONSULTATIONS
-
You don’t need to know exactly what you need before booking.
Your first appointment can begin with Lauren Chandler, Registered Nurse, for an initial health consultation. This is an opportunity to discuss what has been changing, your concerns, relevant health history and what you would like support with.
Where further medical assessment, investigations, diagnosis or prescribing is appropriate, your care can then progress to our Nurse Practitioner, Kelly Beasy.
-
Where clinically appropriate and within her scope of practice, Kelly can discuss and prescribe medications used in the management of perimenopause and menopause.
Treatment decisions are made individually following assessment of your symptoms, medical history, potential risks and benefits, and any investigations or further medical care that may be required.
A consultation does not automatically mean medication will be recommended or prescribed.
-
Where prescription treatment is clinically appropriate, this requires consultation and assessment with our authorised prescriber, Kelly.
Medication is not automatically recommended and suitability is assessed individually alongside your health history, current medications, potential risks and broader management plan.
-
You don’t need to know exactly what you need before booking.
If you simply want to understand your options, discuss changes you’ve noticed, or explore whether further assessment may be helpful, your consultation can be a place to start.
Lauren can take the time to understand what’s been happening, discuss your concerns and help guide the next steps. If your care requires medical diagnosis, pathology or further investigations, prescribing or medication management, you may then be referred to Kelly, our Nurse Practitioner.
You don’t need to have the answers before you come in. That’s what the consultation is for.
-
No. In fact, this is one of the reasons you may choose to book.
Changes in sleep, menstrual cycles, mood, cognition, energy, body composition, temperature regulation, sexual wellbeing, skin and hair can occur through midlife, but they can also have other causes.
Your consultation is an opportunity to explore what you are experiencing and determine whether further assessment may be appropriate.
-
Not necessarily. In women over 45, perimenopause and menopause are commonly assessed clinically based on symptoms and changes in menstrual patterns rather than relying on a single hormone blood test, as hormone levels can fluctuate considerably. Testing may be appropriate in particular circumstances.
If investigations are indicated, this can be discussed as part of your care pathway.
-
It depends on your individual circumstances.
Further investigations may be recommended to better understand your health or before certain treatment options are considered. Weight-management assessment can include consideration of cardiometabolic risk factors and relevant pathology, depending on the individual.
-
Anything that feels relevant to how your health or wellbeing has changed.
This may include menstrual changes, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep, fatigue, mood, brain fog, weight or body composition, muscle and joint changes, sexual wellbeing, vaginal or urinary symptoms, skin and hair changes, bone health and broader preventative health.
A structured menopause assessment commonly considers symptoms alongside medical and family history, cardiovascular and bone health, medications, lifestyle and relevant health screening.
-
No. Our approach considers your broader health rather than focusing on a number on the scales alone.
Depending on your individual circumstances, assessment may consider weight history, metabolic health, medications, sleep, nutrition, movement, hormonal changes, previous weight-management approaches and other factors that may be contributing to changes in weight or body composition.
Current Australian clinical guidance recognises obesity as complex and multifactorial and supports an individualised, longer-term approach to care.
-
Yes. Lauren’s nursing consultation and Kelly’s Nurse Practitioner consultation are separate clinical services and may attract separate consultation fees.
You will be advised of the recommended next steps and applicable fees before proceeding.
-
For many patients, beginning with Lauren provides time to explore what has changed, complete relevant screening and gather the information needed to determine the most appropriate next step.
If your concerns indicate that medical assessment, investigations or prescribing may be required, Lauren can then facilitate progression to Kelly.
You may also be advised to book directly with Kelly where this is more appropriate.
-
There is no predetermined pathway.
For some patients, the next step may be education, monitoring or lifestyle support. For others, further investigations, allied health involvement or a Nurse Practitioner consultation with Kelly, may be appropriate.
Where ongoing nursing review is suitable, Lauren can continue to support and review your progress as part of your care plan.
