SKIN & WELLBEING. FROM THE INSIDE OUT.

Why Synternals® by Synergie Skin earned a place in the Haus.

We talk a lot about what we put on our skin. Skincare, solar protection (SPF), active ingredients and professional treatments. But increasingly, the conversation around skin health is becoming bigger than what happens on the surface.

Because skin does not exist in isolation.

Nutrition, hormones, sleep, stress, environmental exposure and the natural biological changes that occur as we age all contribute to the bigger picture of how our skin looks, feels and functions.

It is one of the reasons Lau-vei Haus was never intended to be simply about aesthetic treatment.

My philosophy has always been to look at skin, ageing and wellbeing more broadly. Understanding what may be changing, supporting what we can, and taking a long-term approach rather than looking for one treatment, product or ingredient to do everything.

So when I decided to introduce nutritional supplementation into the Haus, I wanted it to be considered.

Not an enormous wall of supplements.
Not wellness for the sake of wellness.
And certainly not a suggestion that everyone needs to be taking something.

Instead, I wanted a very small edit of formulations that genuinely complement the conversations we are already having around skin health, healthy ageing and broader wellbeing.

That led me to Synternals® by Synergie Skin, and two formulations in particular:

  • Omega-3

  • NAD+ support

Two very different areas of support, selected with the same philosophy I use when choosing everything that earns a place in the Haus.

WHY SYNTERNALS®?

Having worked with Synergie Skin for a number of years, I have come to know not only their formulations, but the philosophy that sits behind them. Their evidence-led approach to skin health has always aligned closely with my own. Looking beyond trends and quick fixes to understand the skin, its function and what it genuinely needs over time.

So, as I considered the brands and products that would have a place at Lau-vei Haus, continuing that relationship felt very natural.

Synternals® is an extension of that same philosophy, taking the skin health conversation beyond what we apply topically and considering nutritional support alongside external skin care.

What appealed to me most was the thinking behind the formulations. They are not positioned as a replacement for good nutrition, nor as a shortcut to “anti-ageing”.

And neither are we.

At Lau-vei Haus, our philosophy is pro-ageing.

It is about understanding the biological changes that occur over time and considering the different ways we can support skin health and broader wellbeing through those changes. From what we apply to the skin, to the treatments we choose, the way we move and nourish ourselves and, where appropriate, the support we provide from within.

These are the first two Synternals® formulations you will find in the Haus.

01 · ALGOMEGA-3

Omega-3 fatty acids, particularly EPA and DHA, play important roles throughout the body and contribute to overall health.

AlgOmega-3 provides a concentrated source of EPA and DHA derived from pure marine algae, the original marine source from which these omega-3s ultimately enter the food chain. Two capsules provide 600 mg DHA and 300 mg EPA, without the characteristic fishy aftertaste associated with some traditional fish oils.

But for me, its place in the Haus comes back to a much broader philosophy:

We cannot separate skin health from the health of the person it belongs to.

Healthy skin does not exist independently of nutrition, hormonal health, sleep, stress, movement or general wellbeing.

Essential fatty acids form part of that bigger picture.

And while supplementation should never replace a varied, nutritious diet, there may be circumstances where dietary intake is inadequate and targeted supplementation is worth considering.

That is why omega-3 support made sense as part of our considered Synternals® edit. Not because everyone needs another supplement. Because sometimes supporting the outside means considering what is happening on the inside too.

02 · NRGIZE+

This is probably the formulation that will create the most questions in the Haus — and a personal favourite of mine because it opens an interesting conversation around NAD+ and cellular health.

NAD+ is naturally present within our cells and plays an important role in normal cellular function and energy production. Rather than containing NAD+ itself, NRgize+ contains Nicotinamide Riboside Chloride (NRC), a form of vitamin B3 that the body can use within its pathways for NAD+ production.

It is combined with nicotinamide, quercetin and resveratrol to provide additional nutritional and antioxidant support. You don't need to understand every pathway or ingredient to understand why this formulation interested me. For me, it comes back to the way we think about ageing at Lau-vei Haus.

Rather than asking: How do we stop ageing?

I would much rather ask: How do we support ourselves as we age?

Those are two very different conversations.

One focuses on fighting an inevitable biological process. The other is about understanding change and considering how we can support our health and wellbeing through it. And that feels much more at home in the Haus.

WHY ONLY TWO?

Because I don't believe more automatically means better. There are hundreds of supplements I could put on the shelves of Lau-vei Haus. That doesn't mean they need to be there.

In fact, I think part of considered care is knowing when not to add more. Everything in the Haus should have a reason for its place.

So we are beginning with two:

  • AlgOmega-3 for EPA and DHA support where dietary intake may be inadequate.

  • NRgize+ for vitamin B3 and NAD+ precursor support for normal cellular energy pathways, alongside antioxidant support.

Different formulations. Different roles.

But together, they reflect a much bigger idea:

Supporting how we age is about more than what we can see in the mirror.

THE INSIDE-OUT APPROACH

There will never be one supplement, one treatment or one skincare product that determines how we age.

And I don't think there should be.

Skin health is layered.

Good nutrition matters.
Sleep matters.
Sun protection matters.
Hormonal changes matter.
Movement matters.
Stress matters.
Home skincare matters.
Professional treatment can matter.

And sometimes, targeted nutritional supplementation may have a place within that bigger picture too.

The goal isn't to do everything. It isn't to take every supplement, use every active or book every treatment. It is to understand what may actually be useful for you.

That is the approach I want to bring to Lau-vei Haus, whether we are discussing skincare, aesthetic medicine, regenerative care or the broader changes that happen throughout different stages of life.

Nothing unnecessary. Everything considered.

Because the conversation around skin health, and ageing well, goes far beyond the surface.

SynTernals® ProCollagen-C, AlgOmega-3 and NRgize+ will be available at Lau-vei Haus. Nutritional supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Individual suitability varies. NRgize+ is not to be taken by children or during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and its resveratrol may interact with some medicines, including warfarin. Speak with your healthcare professional if you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are unsure whether supplementation is appropriate for you.
